14” Bandsaw - Upper wheel mount assembly

For this session doing some more work on the upper wheel mount assembly.

Gluing on two blocks…

and then screwed on a strip of pine in preparation for the blade tracking coach bolt.









Here you can see the hinged wheel block leaning back and resting on that bit of pine.

This is one end of the blade tracking adjustment range.








Drilled and reamed a slotted hole for the long coach bolt that come through from the front.

The slot allows the bolt to move through the arc of the hinged wheel block.

Front view shows the 25mm shaft hole and above head of the coach bolt mentioned above.









For now this will do to adjust the blade tracking, later on I’ll make a star knob with a T-nut.
