14” Bandsaw – Making the arm lock 2

Back again after lunch to fit and epoxy the lock knob nut.

After marking out carefully chisel out to recess the nut into the knob.









Epoxy in the nut, thread the rod in and clamp up with a nut on the other side – leave to set. Come back later to cut the rod to length and also epoxy that to the nut.








While waiting we can think about cutting out the ‘throat ‘ of that MDF board.

This is the open space between the saw table which sits over the lower wheel and the upper blade guides - with the blade arm raised to it’s highest cutting position.
