Japanese Spitz - Part 2

During my Brandon Park shopping trip this morning also got the  A4 photo frame for this job.

In the first session I cut the four pine strips for the internal frame and here we are measuring and cutting to fit the inside of the main photo frame.

Amstaff silhouette light - part 3

American Staffordshire Terrier

Over the last week with the cold weather have not spent any time out in the workshop and then Holly needed extra care culminating with her leaving us - forever!

Today was another busy day catching up with away-from-home stuff but did manage to get out to the work shop after we got home from shopping.

Picking up from the last Part 2 session here is the internal spacer frame sitting inside the actual 6 x 4 picture frame.

Toy Poodle–Jack Russell picture light (final)

and to give it time to dry…

Before starting to wire the Jack Russell we should glue down the background photo print to the front of the picture frame backboard so it has more drying time, and add some weight.

Toy Poodle–Jack Russell picture light (part 6)

From the last session the MDF doggie silhouette's are ready for the LED back-lighting.

Before we do that we need to trim off their bum's!

Toy Poodle–Jack Russell picture light (part 4)

While the MDF silhouette templates are drying we can carry on with the internal frame.

In the last session we glued the pine strips around the MDF picture frame back, flush to the edges.

While the MDF picture frame back (internal frame) is curing we cam move onto the doggies.

We need to prep the MDF blanks for cutting out on the scroll saw.

Toy Poodle–Jack Russell picture light (part 1)

Midway through last winter I found it too cold (even with some heating) in the workshop (Al’s Workshop) so I effectively closed the shop by hibernating all my Marketplace adverts with the intention to open again in Spring. Well…that came and went, so did Summer then Autumn and now it’s Winter again. What happened?

For those enquiries that came in directly I did take some orders and now we have another request from a Facebook friend – Toy Poodle & Jack Russell silhouette night light.

I do all my designs and mock-ups (like the above picture) in Microsoft Word; send the mock-up to the customer, discuss and edit if needed and then agree on a final design.

There are lighting options, this one will have a day/night motion sensor controller for the LED silhouette backlighting.

More to come…
