Possum dray camera - part 1

Doing some research to see if we can mount a camera to view the inside of the dray.

I don't think this camera will be suitable but it only costs $15.

Forgot to include a emergency exit - back door!

If a cat, fox, snake or whatever knocks on the front door there's no way for them to escape!

Ready to put out so now we wait and keep checking for a empty drey. Last year they vacated in July.

From the last session we are ready to cover the top basket with shade mesh. My main reason for doing this is to prevent or at least curtail attempts by birds to nick the coco to add their own nesting material collection.

Working my way around to evenly fold and hold with clips.

From part 2 we can now remove that centre wire.

While plodding through ALDI Scoresby this afternoon came across these hanging baskets @ five bucks each - grabbed two.

Ringtail possum family update

The Ringtail possum family in our front yard have vacated their dray (nest).

Have not seen them for weeks now but the fruit platter saucer the I put out every 2 or 3 days was again empty when I collected it this morning.

One of the kids checking if mum is on the way back from shopping. As she comes down the lower cable (NBN) and gets closer (see previous posts) to the dray two little pairs of eyes will start dancing around - with excitement.

Gave up last night with some camera connection issues and was to cold out there to fix the bloody thing - so gave up. Tonight, we have some action footage - check it out!
