- SK5 steel, non stick coated cutting blade
- Includes saw attachment
- Telescopic aluminium pole
- Ideal for sawing or lopping hard to reach places
- Extendable up to 255cm
This should be nice addition to the garden tools, got home from shopping and keen to try it out on this one below that provides summer shade for the gazebo but no go…rain, rain…rain.
i need insructions none included. how to extend pole and how to attach saw.
ReplyDeletethank you
This is my second one, I threw the instructions out which are actually printed on the packaging. Extending the pole is straightforward simply grab the two sections and twist the inner one anticlockwise to unlock/release, extend as required and twist clockwise (as shown on the pole) to lock. I will send you a couple of photos.
ReplyDeleteNo problem extending the pole but cannot get the saw blade to attach so that it doesn't wobble a bit around the unthreaded pin.
ReplyDeleteIs this normal?
Thanks for the picture. Just bought one of these and came with no instructions. Had no idea where the saw blade was to be attached. Now I can see it! Have tried the cutting blade this morning. Works well. But need the saw for something a bit thicker.
ReplyDeleteLove the telescopic hedge trimmers but needed something more for thicket and taller trees. Looks like this will do the trick. All these make it easy for a 68 year old lady to still manage her garden.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO BUY REPLACEMENT BATTERY'S. I ONLY USED SAW ONCE AND IT MUST HAVE GOTTEN WATER INSIDE BATTERY...NOW NO GO
ReplyDeleteNo batteries uses muscle power, you must be talking about some other garden item. Cheers
ReplyDeleteSorry, Yes I was referring to the Aldi 12v telescopic pruning saw.
ReplyDeleteAlan how do you attach the saw so it cuts? I cannot get it vertical enough to cut
ReplyDeleteI purchased the Aldi Telescopic tree pruner a few months ago. I only opened the plastic seethrough packing yesterday. I was shocked to find that the cutting blade doesn't meet the top hook, which means it does not cut anything! Even a pair of scissors needs to overlap both blades for it to cut.
ReplyDeleteVery badly designed! Took it back to Aldi for a refund & they needed a receipt, which I have put away safely some place, and can't locate it. I believe they have a 60day period to be able to claim a refund!
Not too happy about this!
Most likely it's a loose pivot pin - see picture via e-mail. I fixed mine (and two others for the family) with a bolt that fits the Teflon nut, washers and a spacer cut to the right width.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I had the receipts the pruners sat in garden sheds for months before any use - oh well.
