Lexar Jumpdrive 16GB

Impulse buy - threw this into the basket while shopping at Woolies Brandon Park. Last year put a USB 3.0 PCI card into the Balcony computer and then got a Seagate Expansion Drive 3.0 for backups - this is my first USB 3.0 stick.

Keys locked in car.

She hurried to the pharmacy to get medication, got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys inside. The woman found an old rusty coat hanger left on the ground. She looked at it and said, "I don't know how to use this." She bowed her head and asked God to send her some HELP.

Within 5 minutes, a beat-up old motorcycle pulled up, driven by a bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag. He got off of his cycle and asked if he could help.

She said: "Yes, my daughter is sick. I've locked my keys in my car. I must get home. Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?" He said, "Sure." He walked over to the car and in less than a minute the car was open.

She hugged the man and through tears said, "Thank You, God, for sending me such a very nice man." The man heard her little prayer and replied, "Lady, I am NOT a nice man. I just got out of prison yesterday; I was in prison for car theft."

The woman hugged the man again, sobbing, "Oh, thank you, God! You even sent me a Professional!"

Easter Sunday shopping

First to market where I came across a Lite-On DVD burner $15 to replace the faulty one (only yesterday) in the Dell TGX270 that will not eject discs. Then to Springvale with flowers to visit those that have already 'crossed over' and onto Waverley Gardens where I finally found a blue tooth mouse in Big W for the Lenovo 10" tablet.

Dell Precision 670 dual Xeon workstation

Since the 4GB memory upgrade the beast is running very nicely. Lucky for me Microsoft extended Vista to 2017 which is what it's running - Vista Business.

Balcony PC update

As posted last Sunday bought from the market, installed and cloned a Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB - all good. Anyway ended up with quite an array of drives (LOL) as Macrium Reflect just tagged every drive with a letter including system partitions etc. Did some cleanup in Disk Management to hide stuff (see picture) so we are tidy again. Next task was to cleanup the SSD as all the user data like docs, photos videos etc is already on (what is now) the F: storage drive - the Samsung 1TB. Note that all the apps including large ones like Office 2007 Pro will stay on the SSD and as you can see from the picture we have 145GB free.

Bunnings XU1 garden tools

Blower, hedge trimmer and grass trimmer selling for $79 each. Need to replace my Robyi blower so went to grab one of those but there's only one left and it's been opened and looks like no charger - bugger. ET grabbed it and went off to find a staff person to try and do a deal.  Nice staff person say’s it's a stuff up, two batteries and no charger I'll give you a big discount on that. I also wanted the grass trimmer so we got both for $110 instead of $150.

Solar Magic 1.6m Black Chelsea Solar Post Light

Don’t have a charger to charge the battery (see previous post) so may as well position to get the afternoon rays.

Return faulty Solar light

While at Bunnings getting a refund to buy another solar post light the front garden we ended up coming home with some other stuff.

Purchase new solar light

With the $40 refund money from the previous Solar Magic Post Light off to Bunnings to buy the latest offering, or replacement - for $25. As usual went to pull the batteries out to charge them so we could use the light for the first nightaway. Strange...there's only one battery ??? Pulled it out to discover it's a Li-ion 14500, 3.2V @ 600mA. Oh well...back to sun light, I’ll have to research buying a charger.

Balcony PC upgrade ?

Mulling over getting a new i7 tower to replace the Balcony PC which is a Scorptec E5200/G31M-SL2/4GB/GT210 about 8 years old. Meanwhile...we could jazz up the current one so ordered a Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8 GHz 3 MB Cache 1066 MHz FSB LGA 775 CPU Processor from a NSW eBay guy for $8.90. If this works out I'll get a 120/250GB SSD and maybe do another CPU upgrade.

Dusty – farrier appointment

Had to go out today past Pakenham to Nar Nar Goon to pick up our younger daughter Natalie who’s car is in for service and then back to Cranbourne for a farrier appointment. This gave us the opportunity to see our girl Dusty again, and ET to give her hugs and kisses. Then return trip to Gooney to drop off the kid and finally on the way home again.

It’s good to see her again.
