Garden Sentry 12V - Part 5B

 In this session were doing the electrical wiring.

Wiring is fairly easy the only thing to keep in mind is that the PIR sensor has a negative switched output - a bit weird.
Ready to test the unit.


With the battery connected I triggered the sensor with a cupped hand and yes... I heard the solenoid click with a small thump However there was no indication when the sensor turned off cutting power to the solenoid due to the soft release. We need to monitor with a DVM.


Trigger the sensor to turn on the solenoid - note the voltage.
Found a monitor stand and cabled tied the unit to that - lol.



















Finally we are ready to go outside and do a water test!























It works 🙂
