Workshop CCTV system repairs

The workshop CCTV system needs attention, the DVR will not recognize the HDD.

I purchased a DVR recorder off eBay which arrived in good time.

UL-TECH 5 IN 1 4CH DVR Video Recorder CCTV Security System HDMI 1080P DVR (no HDD) for $52.86.

The old system was a Cocoon 4 camera home security system purchased in 2015 for $199 - no complaints.

All the cameras still work OK but I'm upgrading two of them now and the other two later on.

 

        

This is a 4 in 1 camera that supports AHD, CV!, CVBS, TV1 standards.

The in-line mode switch is really nifty, default is CVBS to switch to AHS simply press the joystick to the left for 5 seconds. 1080N video quality is good adequate for my needs - happy with the purchase.

New cameras are up one either end.

CCTV stuff is in this front corner next to the side door.

Connecting the DVR and plugging in the cameras. that all run from one 12V/1A power supply via a 4 way DC splitter cable.

For the monitor using a old Dell 17"

I did the basic network setup here and rest of the DVR setup remotely from inside the house.
