Need another bail of hay

We took a nostalgic trip today to Discount Animal Supplies in Lysterfield. The trip brought back many memories of when we did horses for over 20 years - Crikey. At one point we even agisted our horses just down the road from DAS.

This trip was simply to buy a bail of straw and cracked maize for our one and only chook - Speckles.

All the rest have crossed the road and gone over that bridge RIP.

Usually I get hay but this time went for straw.

The bag is rotting lol, I should have another one and yep found it in the garden shed and then realized I haven't followed my usual routine where I use the new bag to get hay/straw and instead took the rotting old bag and now the boot of the car needs to be cleaned out - bugger.







When I do a rake-up during the Spring cleanout a fair bit of that will be tossed around the chook run and chook annexe.

Also got a 20kg bag of crushed maize. Speckles main feed is Peters Poultry Mix Free Range 5kg which I can get from the two big supermarkets.
