Arrived today refurbished Seagate 500GB SATA III for $14.50
Blank drive no partition so hung it off the workshop PC.
Partitioned and format OK so that's a good start LOL
See end of post for details.
I'm using a USB 3.0 to SATA External Converter Adapter Cable, see end of post for details.
This workshop PC is a i7/8GB with only SATA 2 but that's fine for testing.
When I plugged in the USB cable I heard a plonk as Windows recognized the drive - all good.
Let's go inside and connect it to the Lenovo AIO desktop.
Back inside and connecteing to the Lenovo.
Once again I hared the plonk.
Oops... rename that.
OK all done.
That's going to be very handy for externally testing and setting up internal hard drives plus other stuff.
Cheers
