With the battery cavity cut out here we will make a retainer to hold the battery with some MDF strips.


Set the fence for 10mm.

Cut four strips.

Sand them on the 12" lathe disc sander.

Warm up the glue gun.

Measure, mark and cut the strips, secure with hot glue.

Tomorrow weather permitting I'll spray the back panel.
Here is a preview with the bat propped up against some white cardboard.
