Batman LE - Part 11

From the last session I screwed the LED panel onto the (now) flat black front panel and just realised something - bugger!

Before installing the LED strip lights I should have used the LED panel as a template to mark the outline on a 3mm MDF blank for the back panel.
Finishing off the staple thing and securing the RF controller with some fashioned paper clips.

From a sheet of 3mm MDF cut off what we need for the back panel.

Placed the front panel on the blank and crudely traced the outline.
Thinking again I should have done this earlier.

Had to use both the 8" band saw and scroll saw to cut that out.

The power bank will sit on the back like this.

As expected because I had to angle the pencil in to trace the outline along the LED strip I now have more trimming and filing work. Before doing that it's best to now fix the location of the back panel with screws.

Enough for now in the next session we'll trim the panel - starting here.
