Bandsaw 8 repairs

Wanted to use the 8" band saw to cut some MDF strips for the Batman (LE) job and came across a couple of problems.

The Fence

The fence clamp will not slide onto the table and I figure everything has swelled due to the weather.

Removing the table clamp slide.

Sand it down on the 12" lathe disc sander.

That's a nice snug fit now, applied Talcum powder before replacing the screws

The Blade Arm

After raising the blade arm to clear the fence I could not lock the arm.

The lock knob is not grabbing and I suspect the 5/16th tapped screw hole in the timber has stripped.

Remove the blade arm.

Yep... the 5/16th threaded rod is loose, the hole has striped teeth.

I have both metric and imperial Tap & Die sets.

Tapped the hole deeper for more screw thread bite.

Mixed up some epoxy and poked it into the hole with a cable tie then screwed in the 5/16th rod.

Tomorrow I'll remove the two nuts that were needed for the socket driver.
