After sitting crouched over a scroll saw in the last session looking forward to something more interesting, installing the LED strip lights!
Removing the template paper, I've remarked so many times that laying down masking tape the sticking the template on makes it so much easier to remove when we get to this stage.
Ok let's get on with the LED strip installation.
Here on the 8" band saw we are cutting out a recess for the RF controller.
With that done we can gather some tools to start running the LED strip.
Earlier on I roughly checked that the LED strip was long enough but decided to check again and it's short by about 100mm.
I have 5M rolls in stock but the pensioner thrifty voice in my head says you have many RGB off-cuts so just extend the bloody thing - which I will.
Taped down the ends for soldering.
Make sure the everything works before proceeding.
Speckles checking progress.
Working my way around doing the staple thing to secure the LED strip against the outside edge of the middle layer panel.
The end is in sight.
Wow that worked out well to cut the LED strip.
Enough for today I'll finish that last bit of stapling tomorrow.
