Batman LE - Part 4

This is where we downed tools  two days abo  to cut in the last session because I couldn't go any further. How come?
That strip of MDF is the front panel name cutout and I could not find another scrap piece of 6mm MDF to cut the actual blank for the name plate itself! That meant a trip to Bunnings; I still haven't been which as it turns out is a good thing because this morning I found some 6mm MDF!

The cutout is 35 x 28mm so set the band saw fence to 28mm.

Cut two so I have a spare.

Using the wood lathe 12" disc sander (homemade) to sand down the nameplate until it fits the front panel cutout.

That's acceptable for a prototype; if I go into production with this one I'll need to make a router jig to cut that front panel window.

Later on back inside I printed the scroll saw template, what's with the name HERBERT?

The full name I was given is ALAN HERBET MACKENZIE - LOL

Back soon...
