14" Bandsaw – wood turning jig setup

Time to setup the saw motor with a V-belt to drive the first wheel for wood turning and cutting a crown on the circumference.

The V-groove drive ring is screwed on, now to mount the wheel on the jig shaft.

We need to get out some clamps to hold things down.

OK...motor is spinning the wheel but I think we need a more robust setup.

With both units on a common base board.

That works better but belt tension is still too loose.

Just realized something, the motor (and the wheel) spins clockwise, I was intending to work with the chisel on the left but that's no good as the wheel spins upwards.

I need to turn the whole thing around, back tomorrow to do that...
