Wi-Fi Chicken Feeder - Part 2

We finished Part 1 with making a cover frame and mounting the servo motor.

This is where we left off.




During testing using a rubber band connection in case something go's wrong and the servo motor jams - on something.

Plastic fencing will do for now.


First test.


For use out in the yard we simply power the feeder from a 12V battery.


Pulling 420mA so does need a top up.

From the storms and power outages last week the UPS which is supposed to keep the Lenovo AIO desktop running - did not. So that's another job.
We ran the fridge and a few lights off the King's generator for about 12 hours (with 3 fuel stops) until power was restored around 3.15am. Thankful for that and hit the sack.
