Still waiting for the LED strip lights to arrive in the meantime prepping everything up to that lighting stage. Also doing some thinking..due to the unique shape and compact layout these lights require more effort and dexterity to build. The main issue is that the LED strip lights on edge require additional support. Hot glue doesn't work and is risky so I end up cutting and shaping intricate pieces of MDF to support the LED strip which are the hot glued down. Then I cut and bend narrow crown staples into a U shape to hole the LED strip...phew.
The whole thing is like a jigsaw puzzle and time consuming so going to trace and cut from one MDF blank.
Left: Here's one set. Right: Now cut another middle layer MDF and matching back panel.
And do it all again. Back soon…
