Annual council collection 2

Still working on the green stuff for annual council collection. As mentioned there are three areas and all the lopping is done which is a good start considering we have a dodgy back.

This is Area 1 - this photo from the previous session with half the Bay Leaf tree lopped. Todays job is to bundle and stack this lot outside. There are two other areas to be done tomorrow and I hope the kids turn up to help or I could miss the boat.

With the lopping done it's time to bundle and stack.

The Area 1 work area. The $99 Ozito electric chain saw is amazing (why bother with petrol) and since I bought the ALDI chain saw sharpener I'm always good to go (y)

Get into a routine, on the left branches that can be dragged out and simply stacked. The barrow is for err…bundled bundles.

This is the bundling station and to save my back I'm using a upside sawhorse for the smaller stuff. The rope, with one end looped, is placed across first then stack in the branches. Thread the rope through the eye at the other end and pull tight with both hands and a foot. Use a croc clamp to hold the tension and tie with string to finish. Transfer to barrow, three bundles is one load and out to the front.

This year we even have a table, to save the back.

Area 1 is done - the bay leaf tree is out in front of the neighbours house - we have another two areas to go.

Our nature strip is reserved for the rest, areas 2 & 3. I'm doing it this way to play safe - why's that ? \

Last year there was a green limit per house, no mention of that this year but best to be safe.
