Bandsaw 42 - Update oops

Seniors moment during construction - last year!
Noticed today while using the saw that the whole upper blade guide arm assembly is skewed with respect to...err...everything else! How did that happen? with a good eye for true & square even before I pick up a square that should not have slipped past me!

Backtracking dismantling stuff to find out where the skew problem lies.
The guide bar slides on this timber for height adjustment. The block at the bottom is part of the guide bar clamp.

Found it...when I cut these ends off with a veneer hand saw I started from the right cutting nice and flush but wandered to the left towards the end. And yes...I do remember making a note for the next session to square it up with a power plane but lost the note in my head. Anyway I've done that now so I just have to remember how to put it all back together!

That looks more like it. Correcting the skew of course threw out the blade guide alignment, fortunately I allowed for plenty of lateral adjustment in the lower bearing guides which I have already re-aligned in this picture.

I still have to adjust the top thrust bearings but stopped to take this photo to show the skew error, the blade (which was running in the centre) is now off to the right, the difference is how much it was skewed. I'll remove a couple of washers so the blade runs in the centre V of those bearings.

Also need to move the table to the left – enough for now.
