LW-K3010D power supply - further testing.

As this point I'm not interested in load testing but rather will this power supply be suitable for the type of work I want to do which is low voltage low current - working with LED lighting. Typically 3V, 4.5, 5V and some 12V stuff. So the question is current resolution, how low will it resolve down to?

On the left and just unpacked is a new set of Fairy lights powered by 2 x AA battery box.I tapped into the + supply wire to connect the multimeter in series to measure current with it set on 0.25A or 250mA. The current drawn is just below 100mA.

Here we swapped out the battery box and hooked up to the power supply. PS current is 90mA and meter reads 125mA. I'll hookup my DVM's tomorrow and take more current readings.

More importantly is that this particular 10 Amp PS will resolve down to quite a low level, around 100mA is a good result.

It's common for 30V/10A power supplies to be useless below half to one amp.
