Garden steps - part 2
Above: Using a off-cut to assist the dig out.
Above: Time to make the first cut, decades ago the ubiquitous power saw was usually the first power tool purchase! Golly mine ain't seen the light of day for years but it sure came in handy for Pitfield and will be for this job.
Above: The first riser is in place, I intended for the tread to go under that but to my surprise there's concrete on the left so the treads will have to butt up to the riser. The steps will be a bit more shallow - never mind.
Above: Careful...lilly pilly roots on this side.
Above: Two boards per step will be fine...
Above: Because of that concrete on the other side (the old septic tank) I'll need to notch the sides so they butt up level with the top of the riser.
