Garden Sentry 12V - Part 4

In part we we made and assembled the sensor and dashcam camera mount. The next thing to mount is the water solenoid with irrigation fittings.

On the left is the completed PIR sensor head assembly. Moving along...

Garden Sentry 12V - Part 3

Back from Bunnings with the irrigation fittings I need so we can now start building the low voltage motion activated sprinkler.

From left PIR Sensor, Impact Sprinkler, 15mm Female To Female Rural Poly Irrigation Coupling , Irrigation Solenoid, 15mm Female To Female Rural Poly Irrigation Coupling, 13mm Tail x 15mm BSP Male Director, then garden hose (phew).

Garden Sentry 12V - Part 2

In Part 1 we determined the switched sensor output could handle @ 12V a current load up to 4 amps. Not sure about that? more research (is possible) is needed.

Having said that the 12V irrigation solenoid (still waiting for delivery) is rated @ 0.3A or 300mA. Anyway for the sake of fiddling I want to hang a relay off the sensor output so went looking for one.

Found these two PCB's with relays, the top one is 24V the bottom is 12V so let's grad that one.

Bailey kitty cam

Using a A9 mini camera to monitor the boy when he's downstairs in the rumpus room usually sleeping in one of Holly's beds, a fav spot on hot days.

This is mainly for peace-of-mind as ET worries when he's not upstairs - location unknown.

Cat in the window

Just fed the Magpies and opened the balcony sliding door to let the hooligan back in - straight to the window.

I am always prompt to check stuff like this so I know it's not DOA.

Another new toy for kitties.
