14" Bandsaw – V-belt pulley

Setting up a router jig to make the V-groove pulley. The first wheel becomes the upper wheel. After this the pulley is removed and screwed to the second wheel and the process is repeated. The pulley remains on the second wheel which becomes – the lower wheel.

Having mounted the bearing flanges on both wheels and as mentioned in the previous bandsaw post I now need to make a temporary drive pulley or doughnut with a V-groove so I can spin each wheel from the saw motor to true the circumference for run-out with a wood chisel. For this sort of stuff you must have a router mounted in a router table. The ALDI setup is OK for my needs - with modifications.

14” Bandsaw – First wheel second flange

We can now mount the second flange, the clamps here go through onto the one I did this morning.

14” Bandsaw – First wheel first flange

Continuing on from the previous session a week ago, Crikey got side tracked with tech stuff like phones, tablets and the Windows 10 Creator Update...we will continue with mounting the bearing flanges on the bandsaw wheels. Yes...this early stage is a time consuming and critical process that must be done in a particular order.

We are ready to mount the first bearing flange.

Garden gazebo water barrel feature - continued

With everything removed this is the Japanese water spout, the roots of the water lily had completely filled the inner plastic tub liner and even engulfed the water pump. I had to use secateurs to locate and cut free the water pump - LOL

When I made this project I blocked all the drain holes with bits of plastic, each one pushed into a bed of silicon.

The raging water lily with roots trimmed back will need to go into it's own pot.

This one here, as before I've blocked the drain hole.

This was another water plant in the barrel, now in a larger pot and like everything in there was also suffocated by the roots of the water lily.

New barrel from Bunnings for $31 bucks.

Windows 10 Creators Update - Sbtle changes.

Taskbar network icon now has a Wi-Fi dropdown box which is good but even better for me is the Mobile hotspot - to easily connect to my Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro during power outages.

Bunnings shopping trip

Wanted to spend my 70th birthday Bunnings gift cards (pooled) on a Ozito Multi Purpose Saw and also get a 30cm wooden barrel to repair the Bamboo Water Spout feature in the gazebo area.

Unplanned purchase - this is the BBQ Pizza Oven Box we bought from Bunnings today. They had a staff person giving cooking demonstrations and ET managed to sample TWO slices of pizza

Another new toy for kitties.
