Wi-Fi Chicken Annex Door - Upgrade 1

 As planned I have upgraded the 3mm MDF door to a heavy gauge carbon steel Cookie Sheet - Arrruuuuggghh! (Tim Allen).

Before we commit to modifying the frame for the cookie sheet we better make sure the wi-fi valve servo motor has the torque to lift the cookie sheet. There should be no issues because during development the servo has lifted heavier materials.

All good... that's running smoothly and more importantly will not be effected by changes in the weather!

Not looking good... the cookie sheet is not wide enough!

Missed out by 10mm... bugger I will have to remove the frame - both frames!

Removing the staples securing the wire mesh to the frame is a bugger of a job!

Finally the frame is removed... phew.

Off to the workshop.

Fast forward... all done back to the chook annexe.

I tried and cannot open the door with bare hands.

Installed the door sill, view from outside.

Tomorrow I will staple the wire mesh and before painting install door sill guards. Check back to see what that is and.
