While coming up the stairs got his legs in a tangle and broke off a dew claw when trying to apply brakes to stop sliding backwards a step or two.
With first aid done off to clean blood drops off the carpet.
Contacted his mum (still getting phone reception) and apparently he often injures his dew claws.
