Helping a friend with oven repairs–part 2

Continuing on from yesterday and after a morning coffee we’re out in Al’s Workshop now to try and make a piggy back terminal joiner – single female to double make.

Can’t buy this locally so we have to male one.
Went through this terminal kit for one female and two males.

The plastic covers are very tough, hard to cut and pull off.

Soften the covers with a butane torch.

Now to open the crimp ends a bit and bundle them together for soldering.

Just in case the soldering is not hot enough prep the gas one.

Soldering iron did the job.

All done and that should work well; just pull off the direct active (circled) on the fan switch push on the piggy back joiner replace the active and connect the oven circuit to the other terminal Thumbs up

I’ll be off later with ET and the ladies can have a catch-up chat while we finish the job.
