As mentioned rather the cutting intricate pieces of MDF to support the LED strip on edge I changes to cutting out that middle layer from one piece of MDF, using the back panel as a template.
To save on MDF material (and cost) this morning I decided to try fence paling. I cut a length and ran it through the planer thicknesses and the result looks like a a nice bit of dressed pine.
I screwed this particular "MATTHISON" back panel to the pine blank, traced the outline and cut out. Here they are screwed together again ready to cut out the battery box cavities - happy with that..
