Batman lights - first lot (part 10)

Doing the final assembly on KIETH and ERIC so both of those will be finished in the first morning session - tomorrow. While doing the above also nudging PJ along so he is now ready for the lighting stage.
And...while doing all the above also prepping TAG, one of the bats from the second lot.
The last photo shows how I measure to mark and drill the staple pilot holes.

I will finish off these two guys in the morning, another pair out the door.

Nest up is PJ for the lighting install.

The back side of PJ.

This is the middle layer for TAG. He's from the second lot.

To save on 9mm MDF and considering I have 3mm MDF offcuts lying around I've come up with this idea for the middle 'LED support' layer. A sandwich of three actually adds up to 11mm which is good because with 9mm MDF the top edge of 10mm LED strip sticks out a bit.

I use the modified staple on the left to measure and mark the pilot holes, hold the long leg against the LED strip and mark where the short leg sits on the MDF.
