Some time ago bought a couple of LED downlights with 240V plug leads. Finally decided to do something with them – a twin floor lamp. This will stand between the two mitre saws that are parked at the front of the workshop against the roller door.
Found a piece of plywood the right size.
The lights needs 80mm holes so marked that out a each end and drilled starter holes for the jigsaw table.
I’ll need more room to swing the board around so removed the blade arm by simply loosening the lock knob at the back.
Cut out the centre then went around doing the relief cuts.
That's done back to the workbench.
After cutting out the holes I marked the location of the bracket rivets and filed out each one with a rat tail rasp.
Here you can see the right one where I've been filing out with the rasp file.
The lights are sitting nice and flush.
Time for a break, next session is to work out how to make the stand.
