Gardening Sep-Oct 2022 - Part 2

Another nice day so let's continue.
Found a good use for one of the used fascia boards from the roof reno so screw that onto the fence plinth board to tidy things up.

We have a problem in this corner!

Fig tree roots and soil from the other side are bridging the channel between the concrete slab and the fence for about two metres and out of range for all my long handle tools. Went looking and found this long pool cleaning pole. Made some progress as a battering ram through roots and soil.

We need to somehow scoop out the soil that's like 5 meters away from us. Came up with this idea at the other end of the pole to use this ALDI kids spade. Perfect fit! secure with two screws.

Here you can see how long the pool pole is and most of it needs to be shoved in there to reach the blockage.

It does work but painfully slow as most of the soil is lost on the return trip - lol. I'm hoping that if I break up enough and push through the pressure washer will finish the job.

Anyway let's clear the area and get started with trimming and mowing the backyard.

Speckles has been very busy with all this activity. As posted she is the last of our chooks. All the others have crossed...I mean flown over that rainbow bridge RIP.

Medion Wireless Rear View Mirror - Revisited

Purchased this from ALDI in August 2015 and earlier this year it stopped working. I have been dealing all year with the left eyeball and poo...
