Motion Activated Sprinkler–part 3

Another session did some prep work on the plastic box and after drilling some holes actually got some wiring done!


Using a strain relief cord bushing to secure the power lead, we can wire in the sensor to the transformer now.


Sensor is wired in and believe it or not - it works! Did a bench test with solenoid hooked up via clip leads to the TX 24V output, with Time on MIN and Lux on MAX triggering sensor powers the solenoid – all good. Time to move onto the water side of things.




Tomorrow I'll have another browse through the irrigation sections of both Masters and Bunnings to collect more info on hose fittings and adaptors.




Planning to mount the solenoid at the bottom of the box like this.
