Found some click-on barbs at Bunnings so I'll change the plain barb on the left for one of those - like on the right.
Here you can see what I'm doing, swap them over so both sides have click-on hose connections.

I don't want to get wet, sensor on on side...
and the sprinkler on the other side.
Connect hoses and apply power - via RCD. Trigger the sensor and it works BUT...after a few 10 second cycles it stopped !!!
My sensor unit is powering the solenoid OK, looks like the valve is stuffed, that pitiful trickle should be a full flow!
Back to the garage and when I dismantled the solenoid discovered the valve diaphragm has ruptured, the trials and tribulations of DIY. Will return that for a larger 25mm solenoid.
