Chook annex rebuild – Part 10

Wire barrier skirt - Finishing

Weather didn't look to good this morning and surprised it cleared as well as it did so back out to finish stapling the wire skirt to the base timbers so we can screw on the plinth boards. The final bit for this phase of the job is to back-fill and level the soil - all of a sudden the site looks neat and tidy.

Finished along the back, Speckles and Misty are inspecting the job.
Round the corner and up to the front

The cage wire skirt has a turned up lip that is stapled to the base timbers, the plinth board is then pushed into the lip and against the base timber and then fastened with stainless steel screws at frequent intervals - is good.

The big and heavy GMC 24V hammer drill is still going strong, it has some much torque you need to be careful when using hex or square drive screws that you don't hurt your wrist.

Back fill and leveling done, I'll rake in a box of lawn seed which will keep the chooks busy.
