ALDI – The Cocoon 4 camera system has come around again, this time with higher res cameras. I purchased one of these last year and had some issues with the cameras but warranty support is good.

Bottom line is for $199 what could you expect, it sure as hell is not top of the line gear, The Camera's are CMOS not the far better CCD and the Control box well it only works with some HDMI display's not all, same again for the VGA output, if you want the best buy a better and more expensive unit else this unit is fine, its just a matter of finding a monitor that it will work with.

ReplyDeleteTo view from smart phone, install 365secu on your mobile. There are 2 versions in the Android play store. One works one doesn't. Register for an account, set up your DVR details by adding a device. Basically that's it
ReplyDeleteSomeone hates A.L.D.I. ??? I bought a cocoon surveillance camera set up, and know nothing about electronics and set it up no worry. Excellent vision in fact as good as my ordinary video camera.A farmer I know thought because they were so cheap he thought he would have to buy fittings,After I told him how good they were he bought a set of them and placed the in his house so that they had all his machinery sheds under surveillance BINGO NO MORE THEFTS WHEN NOT THERE !!!!!!
