Bandsaw 17 - Upper guides

Taking a break from the larger components and onto something more intricate - the upper blade guide assembly (wooden leggo).

Once again using clamps to mock up so I get a feel for how things might pan out, It's starting to look like a bandsaw.

The blade guide assembly needs to slide up and down with acceptable precision and lock in at the desired height.

The lower bearings stabilize the blade from bending or twisting and under load the back edge of the blade will ride on the two top thrust bearings.

Angled view from the back.

Lastly from the back.

That’s all for now folks.
