Cyclone Dust Separator

This is a off-the-cuff dust extraction project for the workshop. The unit sits between the dust source (table saw, mitre saw, router table etc.) and the workshop vacuum to collect all the saw dust and wood shavings. The shop vacuum (ALDI Taurus) simply provides the sucking power.

Two peas in a pod

Much cooler day today so Milo and Luna have taken over Pixie's basket.

Timber Drill Vice

I don’t have any sort of bench drill vice, a machine vice is on the shopping list so in the meantime decided to make one for timber – from timber.

Cut off the turn screw from a old but hefty C clamp – which took a while.

Garden pond

Had one of those kids clam shell sandpit/pool play things lying around so decided to do something with it – a pond.

Moving the water tank pump

I need to move the new ALDI GARDENLINE 1100W pump from behind the palm tree stump over to the right into the open so I can get down to ground level to view the LCD display.

The previous Bianco pump was OK hidden behind the stump... because as soon as power was turned on she was ready to go. The new pump needs to have one of its three buttons pressed to put it into Auto mode which is easy enough but to use the Timer function I need to get up close to eyeball the LCD display. Fortunately I have a length of Blueline poly leftover from the 50M roll.

That palm was tiny when I installed the tank water system years ago.

Another new toy for kitties.
