14" Bandsaw project – Motor mount

To reiterate gave up with the hinged motor mount and went for a similar setup like the 8" bandsaw, simply sit the motor base on the floor of the base box. When the motor is positioned correctly for front to back belt alignment and belt tension the pine strip 'clamps' are screwed down to secure the motor. To further secure the heavy motor fashioned and added a metal strap around the motor body that is screwed down onto mounting posts.

ALDI: SINGER PROMISE 1412 SEWING MACHINE

Early start this morning (for us retirees) to get to ALDI before opening time so we don’t miss out on the sewing machine and table. We were 2nd in line with a nice lady in front of us, she and the guy behind us were all after the same stuff. ET went for the machine and I the table which is 42.5kg, gave the lady a hand with hers and in doing so lost ground as others crowded in behind me but pushed back in and grabbed one assisted by the fact they could not lift the boxes. Later gave the lady in front of us a hand to load her car.
