
No point reinventing the wheel, let's use the leg that broke off to transfer some measurements.
Cut a 2.7m length of pine into four pieces on the 12" mitre saw.

Now to transfer some of the measurements.

Marked up an off-cut to setup for the compound mitre cuts.

Setting the cordless 8" mitre saw for the compound cut.
Note how I have nicked below the line; this will provide a glue channel later on when the leg is glued and screwed to the main plank resulting in a stronger bond.
With all four marked we can make the cuts.
