Ruby is back home – RIP

Collected her from the bird vet, she is buried next to Lily (white Pekin).

Her last morning (16/10) before we took her to the vet, did not respond to treatment over the weekend and left with two options, more blood tests but at 7+ years vet suspected cancer so rather than put her through more tests we had her put down on the Monday.

Holly recovering…

Holly recovering after her vet visit LOL. This time of year her favorite spot is at the bottom of the stairs where it's always cooler.

Holly–vet checkup

Holly to Boronia Vet for her quarterly check-up. It's over 12 months since her radical cruciate ligament surgery and as usual Tony got me to walk her up and down the long back corridor to check her rear end gait and once again the same summary, if you didn't know she had the op you wouldn't be able to pick the leg. She also gets her usual arthritis jab and this time we got a couple of her lumps re-checked again which returned fatty - all good.

We have turned the corner, not far to go now.

Garden stuff from the market

Plants and pots for the front of the carport piers. Two 'standard' Ficus and two large and heavy pots @ $20 bucks each – good buy.

 

Cleaning pebbles

Cooler day to carry on with digging and raking pebbles - must keep going. Got held up with a bit of drain repair but now moving forward again.
