Maginon - Wireless Rear View Mirror
Windows 10 update killed my GPU driver
Checking today's weather and screen went blank, then spinning circle followed by pop-up that GPU driver failed to start. Win10 is using generic - check for updates. Ran the Nvidia updater which offered to install the latest driver which is the same version as the one installed - that was replaced with a generic by Windows update !!!

Chooks - Heating the coop
Way back in May 2011 when we got some new little Pekins I provided them with some heating in their temporary dog house quarters. This winter the weather is so cold I decided to heat the coop in a similar way.

ALDI – Workzone Scroll Saw
While shopping in ALDI came across a solitary scroll saw – interesting. They were on sale a few weeks ago and thought about getting one but gave it a miss. This one looks like a return, the box has been opened and it’s got a hand written price tag of $55 down from $99.
Checked inside and none of the plastic bags had been opened – it’s all there. Wonder why it’s been returned let’s buy it and check it out I can always do the same myself.

Bandsaw 44 - Table update

Wait there's more, then I noticed yesterday the table was also not parallel to the front of the saw - skewed to the right a bit. This morning we are going back to fix all that.

Bandsaw 43 – Guide arm skewed
With regard to the last fix I noticed the the blade guide arm was skewed to the right with respect to the main frame and in fixing that I noticed today while cleaning the saw that the same arm was now not at right angles to the table but angled back a bit - hmm.

The blade guide arm which slides up and down for cutting height mates with that length of timber with the four screws. All of that had to come off to fix the skew issue and and when I fitted that bit of timber back I neglected to drive the screws back into the original holes. I lined up the top screw OK but failed to notice the timber was not parallel to the tension block (to the right a bit at the bottom) so the bottom screw ended up to the right of the original hole.
